Make a Gift Card Holder out of Potty Paper Rolls!

Here's what my mom is getting for part of her Christmas this year - - - gift cards for some of her favorite things (with apologies to Julie Andrews!) presented in this .........

It all started like this ....

The paper was cut into 5 3/4" squares. Adhesive was applied around the 4 edges as were 4-5 parallel lines on the inside of the square of adhesive. The TP rolls were rolled (pun intended) down the flat paper. Several cuts were made on each end of the excess paper for covering the inside of the TP roll. The papered TP rolls were then flattened (a brayer would be good for this, but I don't have one.) A bone folder was used to run along the creases of the TP rolls.

Use a Crop-a-dile (or Big Bite) to make holes for eyelets and set them!

Ranger's Peeled Paint and Fired Brick Distress Inks were used along the edges of the flattened rolls.

The cover's highlight is the "wonderful" diecut. It was by K & Co and found in my stash from ages ago. The *new* Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint by Ranger was applied over the diecut for an aged look.

Stamps used on the insides include Tim Holtz' Regal Flourish (Visual Artistry Collection),COM012 Swirls & COM001 Flourish. The latter are 2.5" x 3.5" and are perfect size for this project! :) Other stamps used were "Merry Christmas" from Hobby Lobby and Heidi Swapp handwriting alpha stamps from Advantus. Other rub-ons and buttons (from ancient stash) were also used. The holly and berries on the cover is from Making Memories. Most of the ribbons are from Bo Bunny.

This project was not planned out - it just kinda happened .... The family has been instructed to hand over their future empty TP rolls and no will get hurt.
And they might even see a gift card with their names on it Christmas morning!
